DayBrk is a free, personalized surf forecast. These terms cover the basics of using it. We keep them short because the product is simple.

Using DayBrk

DayBrk is free to use. You can check conditions without an account. Creating an account lets you save spots and preferences so DayBrk can score sessions for you. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for the accuracy of the information you give us.

The forecast is informational, not a safety guarantee

DayBrk pulls real data from public sources like Open-Meteo Marine, NOAA tides, and offshore buoys, and scores it against your preferences. Ocean conditions change fast and can differ from any forecast. DayBrk is a tool to help you decide when it might be worth paddling out — it isn't a substitute for your own judgment, local knowledge, or checking conditions in person. Surfing carries real risk. You're responsible for your own safety in and around the water.

Acceptable use

Don't use DayBrk to do anything illegal, to abuse or overload our systems, or to scrape or resell our data. Don't try to interfere with other users' accounts.

Third-party services

DayBrk uses third-party services to operate — including Google Sign-In for authentication, MapTiler for location search, and public data sources for conditions. Our Privacy Policy explains what we share with them and why.

Changes and availability

DayBrk is an early-stage product and will keep changing. We may add, change, or remove features, and we can't guarantee the service will always be available or error-free.

Ending your account

You can stop using DayBrk and delete your account at any time — just email us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service or violate these terms.

No warranty, limited liability

DayBrk is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent allowed by law, DayBrk and its operators aren't liable for damages or losses arising from your use of the service, including decisions made based on the forecast.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms we'll update the date at the top.
